Bio

Originally from San Diego, Dr. Stuie moved to Portland in 2017 to be closer to family. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in animal science from California Polytechnic State University in 2007. She then received her veterinary degree from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. She chose to become a veterinarian because she enjoys the problem-solving aspect of medicine and the fact that every day brings something new. She also loves how it allows her to nurture the bonds between people and their animals by helping them live healthier and happier lives. She enjoys the many different areas of veterinary medicine, especially wellness medicine, geriatric care, internal medicine, and dentistry. Outside of work, Dr. Stuie‘s favorite activities include hiking, playing board games with friends, trying new coffee shops, and knitting. She also tries to enjoy as much time as she can with her own pets, her dog Opal, and her cockatoo, Brandi. Dr. Stuie also has a passion for Orchids.
