A Pacific NW Native, Kristen is originally from Washington State but moved to Oregon after a successful blind date that ultimately led to marriage. Now there’s a story you can hang your hat on!

Starting out as a Client Service Representative in a rural, small and large animal general practice in 2001, this was the starting point of Kristen's love for the veterinary industry.  After moving to Oregon, Kristen joined an Emergency and Specialty hospital as a Doctor’s Assistant in the ER/ICU in the fall of 2007. This opportunity allowed her to harness her passion for pets and people! Working alongside and with a variety of departments, including imaging, neurology, and surgery; assisting with spinal surgeries and total hip replacement, the experience with such a variety of cases solidified Kristen's career path. She held several roles during her tenure in Specialty/ER, including Client Service Manager in 2015,  Assistant Hospital Manager in 2019 and then the critical position in 2020 as Hospital Manager. In 2022 Kristen took a summer break to be with her family before jumping back into leadership with her current role as Practice Manager at Lombard Animal Hospital. Her dedication to supporting the hospital and ensuring exceptional client and patient care continues to serve our hospital, veterinary partners and the community.

Fun Facts:

She has three children that keep her running; as does her enthusiasm for obstacles races, hiking and her commitment to youth volunteer work.

She wears her meal planning skills like a badge of honor, not cooking the same thing twice in any given month

On the regular, she plans quilt retreats with her sister for long weekend escapes
